The D60 uses the Nikon EN-EL9 battery pack, which is a 7.4V battery pack. As such, taking it portable requires some special equipment to support your Nikon EN-EL9 battery charger.

Rather than use the AC charger that came with your Nikon D60, we recommend saving power by keeping your portable system operating from DC power. This allows you to use external battery packs & solar panels to charge your Nikon D60.
