Hard anodized & good 'ol stainless...
Our collection of cookware started with an investigation of the various materials used. Things like stainless steel, hard anodized aluminum, standard aluminum, & titanium.
What we found was that the hard anodized aluminum was the most popular choice for lightweight campers - light, durable, & offering excellent heat conduction. HA will not rust or flake like ordinary aluminum, and is far cheaper than titanium sets that might have the lowest weight, buthave poor heat conduction.
Of course, no collection would be complete without the stainless steel stand-by. Stainless may be heavier than the HA or titanium sets, but what it gives up in weight, it makes back in durability and low cost. Being a denser metal, it has excellent heat retention & conduction. You'll find many of our smaller cookware pieces are made from stainless and are able to take a beating over many years.
