Eclipse 8099
Full-featured mirrored map compass
by Brunton (8099)
Every 100 years someone improves the compass. The new, award winning Eclipse is more than an improvement, its revolutionary.
The 8099, Sports Afields 1998 Editors Choice Award, eliminates the magnetic needle. Simply align the two circles for accurate bearings.
Dual cover assembly allows for quick one hand operation. Remove the protective rubber shoe and open the second cover for complete map work with the scaled base plate.
Attached with a lanyard, the quick reference cards contain compass instruction, a GPS coordinate finder, (UTM) and survival information.
Designed for outdoor recreation and professional surveying, the Eclipse offers magnified 1 degree accurate front and back mirrored sighted bearings, three inclinometers (slope & vertical height measurements), declination adjustment and quick reference cards in a cool, revolutionary design.
