The newest member of the popular EcoFan family is here now. Introducing the EcoFan 806 GS designed exclusively for use on gas stoves that do not reach the high temperatures of wood stoves.
The Caframo EcoFan 806 is a heat powered fan designed to circulate the warm air created by a gas stove. The EcoFan 806 is powered by a thermoelectric module (Peltier chip) which generates electricity when it experiences a heat differential between its top and bottom surfaces (Peltier effect). The hotter your stove, the faster it spins! No batteries or plugs!
As you read this page, your computer is using a Peltier chip to cool its central processor unit. In this scenario, electricity is put into the chip to create a hot side & a cool side, and the cool side is attached to the CPU. An EcoFan does the reverse - using a hot & cool side of a Peltier chip to generate electricity & run the fan motor.
The self powered EcoFan 806 AirPlus will silently move 150 cubic feet of air per minute (CFM), making it an efficient way to get better heat circulation from your woodstove.
It features an attractive black brushed aluminum frame, with triple nickel blades. To protect the unit from overheating & spinning too fast, the 806 includes a thermal fuse that resets once the fan returnes to a cooler state.
