The BatterySaver SE 6Watt panel connects in seconds using the included plug 'n play connectors. The SE series of panels uses "Amorphous Silicon" technology to keep your battery in shape when your vehicle is not in use, even in low-light conditions.

What types of batteries can I charge?
You can trickle charge all types of 12 Volt batteries, including lead-acid automotive batteries, deep cycle (traction type) batteries, gel-cell batteries, and heavy-duty (stationary type) batteries.

How long will it take for the BatterySAVER SE to charge a dead battery?
The 6W model is designed to trickle charge batteries. It compensates for natural voltage losses and key-off small instrumentation drain by replenishing your battery.

Do I need a charge controller with the BatterySAVER SE?
A charge controller is not required with the 6W panel, because it is not powerful enough to overcharge your battery.

Can the BatterySAVER SE drain my battery at night?
No. All ICP solar panels are equipped with reverse current protection so current cannot flow from the battery to the panel.

Can the BatterySAVER SE 6W be left outdoors without protective covering?
Yes, the panels have been weather protected and can be mounted outdoors. They are completely weatherproofed, and can withstand 1/2 inch hailstones, up to 180ºF heat, and can operate under 3 inches of snow (on sunny days).

Can I mount the solar panel directly on a surface, or do I need to use some sort of bracket?
ICP solar panels can be installed directly on a flat surface, using the screws provided. If the mounting surface is rubberized, we suggest that you use rubber spacers to create an air gap between the two surfaces (in order to prevent heat build-up when exposed to high temperature conditions).

Do I have to disconnect the panels from the battery when I drive or when I am recharging my battery with my generator?
No, ICP solar panels are designed to be connected to the battery regardless of other charging systems. There is no need to disconnect them when charging the batteries by other means such as AC chargers or your vehicle’s generator or alternator.
