PowerFilm integrated solar panels are produced using a unique roll-to-roll process, creating a supple, truly rollable panel that is unlike other thin film technologies that are only somewhat flexible. PowerFilm are about as thick as an ordinary canvas tarp, and almost as pliable!
PowerFilm solar panels are monolithically integrated which eliminates the need for damage-prone manual connections of individual solar cells. PowerFilm flexible solar panels are made using amorphous silicon, and are naturally free from heavy metals like cadmium that are used in other technologies.
PowerFilm panels perform well in diverse conditions such as hot sun, and come ready to connect to batteries and an array of handy accessories using marine-grade plug and play connectors. Rugged corner grommets are provided for tying the panels to boat decks, backpacks, tents, and more. Portable solar power has never been more convenient!
Choose from 7, 14, 21, or 28 Watt output panels that roll easily into convenient storage tubes. These outputs are provided at 15.4V, which makes them ideal for integrating with SLA batteries. PowerFilm also comes in a folding format for hiking & trekking, when normal weather resistance is needed, but packed size & weight are even more important. See the links in the right-hand column >
PowerFilm panels come with 15 foot extension cable with O-Ring battery terminal connectors, and a female 12V CLA car socket. A reverse current blocking diode is built-in.
