The Katadyn Combi is an excellent all-around filter that effectively handles water qualities around the world. Ideally suited for 1-4 people on trekking, travelling & expeditions.
The Combi is a 2-stage filter, comprised of both active carbon & silver impregnated ceramic modules. These components effectively remove disease-causing agents (protozoa, bacteria) along with several chemicals & foul tastes & odors. The carbon filter can be removed when not needed in order to extend its useful life. The ceramic cartridge can be cleaned in the field several times before requiring replacement. An integrated measuring gauge is indicates when the cartridge needs replacing.
The Katadyn Combi also has a faucet option that converts the Combi into a countertop filter - perfect for RVs & boats.
