This DC wiring accessory is used to fit a 12V cigarette outlet to any 12V car, marine, or golf cart battery. Useful for charging small electronics which utilize a vehicle adaptor, when there is otherwise no hard wired 12V socket.
Application example...
A 12V deep cycle golf cart battery was being charged by solar panels (via a suitable charge controller). This was a temporary installation, and there was otherwise no power distribution wiring in the shack (Africa), so the owner clamped this to the battery in order to plug in a 12V light at night, and DC radio.
