Orikaso tableware is simple to use. Take the flat piece out of your pack, fold along the creases, and tuck the outside flaps into the pockets created by the folds. Simple, elegant, & durable.
Orikaso tableware is constructed from a completely flat piece of polypropylene. Weighing only a few grams and less than a millimetre thick, Orikaso is far easier to transport and store than 'traditional' tableware in any situation where weight and space are an issue. Due to the unique properties of polypropylene, Orikaso products can be used time and time again without suffering any kind of structural fatigue or weakening. They are even dishwasher safe.

Q. Do the products hold liquid?
A. Yes the orikaso products have been designed to hold liquid. The unique design brings all edges to the same height above the base and therefore ensures that liquid can be held. It should be noted however that the cup, mug, espresso cup and shot glass have a maximum filling limit, if you fill above this limit it will leak a little.
Q. Can I use the products with hot liquids?
A. Yes. All Orikaso products are designed to be used with hot liquids over 100 degrees celcius (boiling water).
Q. Are the products reusable and durable?
A. The products are manufactured from Polypropylene, a polymer with very special properties. Polypropylene is practically the only plastic that can be folded without breakage, in fact the more you fold it the more durable it becomes along the hinge.
Q. Are the products environmentally friendly?
A. Products and packaging are made from recyclable materials and any off cuts from production gets recycled on site. Polypropylene is endorsed by Greenpeace as an alternative to PVC.
Q. Are the products manufactured from food grade materials?
A. Orikaso products are made from non-toxic food grade material using food grade colourants and inks.
Q. Are the products easy to clean?
A. Yes, Polypropylene is a non-stick material, plus its fold flat nature means there are no awkward corners to clean.
Q. Are the products Dishwasher Safe?
A. Products are heat resistant to 120 Degrees Celcius, so should be suitable for use in most dishwashers, although they clean with practically one wipe of a cloth.
Q. Are the products suitable for Microwave use?
A. No - but a microwavable version will be available in the future.
Q. Are they safe for children?
A. Whilst they may be novel, products are not toys, children should be supervised during use. The manufacturer, Flatworld, & Modern Outpost accept no responsibility for incident arising from improper use (eg. If you give a cup with boiling water to the child and they unfold it).
