This solar radio features both a unique dynamo hand crank charging system along with an integrated solar panel to provide power to a built-in NiCd battery. The solar dynamo radio will operate from the solar panel, drawing power from the battery only when needed. At night, or in the dark, the wind-up the dynamo to charge the battery when needed.
Standard "AA" batteries, or a 6 volt adapter can also be used.
