Optimus Nova+ is exactly what the name suggests, a stove with the performance of the original Optimus Nova - plus a little more. Optimus has reengineered their leading Nova multi-fuel pack stove, to make it even easier to use. Still built like a tank, the Nova+ offers exceptional durability for your most demanding expedition.
Innovative, compact design
Optimus has added their patent pending Powerline for precision flame control at a distance from the stove. Simply twist the fuel hose to adjust your cooking flame. Now you don't need to be reaching under your hot pot for the flame control, or have a long flame control arm that reduces packability.
The stainless steel body opens from compact packability to become a solid pot support. The top surface of the arms is serrated to help keep your cookware in place. The curved stainless steel arms fold down around the burner for easy storage. See dimensions below.
When extended, the arms snap into place to make set-up quick and easy. Each foot features a hole for a ground peg if extra stability desired. The Nova's stable footprint diameter is matched by an equivalent pot surface diameter.
Other advanced design details make the Nova+ one of a kind. Things like EZ-coupling for quick connection of the burner to the pump, the quick priming burner, self-purging aluminium Flipstop pump and a built in magnetic cleaning needle make sure that user's outdoor experience are all good ones.
Precise cooking control
The Nova features several innovations that make using a liquid fuel stove more about the food than the stove. The Nova's output is controlled by a long armed control valve that keeps your hands away from the burner and cookware. The valve precisely controls the fuel supply at the burner, allowing the Nova to react quickly giving you better control over your cooking.
Advanced multi-fuel system
The patented brass NOVA burner uses the same jet for all fuel types, primes quickly and simmers beautifully, whether you are using white gas or diesel fuel. The innovative and patented magnetic cleaning system allows you to clean the jet by just moving the repair tool under the stove, so you never need to stop cooking, saving precious fuel. The cleaning needle rises through the jet orifice, pushing debris out of the jet. Unlike traditional prickers that simply push debris back down into the fuel line.
When travelling, particularly outside North America, the Nova frees you from the need to find a particular type of fuel. Coleman fuel, white gas/petrol, kerosene/paraffin, diesel oil, methylated alcohol/spirits...chances are you will be able to find fuel just about anywhere.
The aluminum flipstop pump makes turning off the stove and purging the fuel line to be a simple procedure...simply turn the fuel bottle over! In about 2 minutes, the system self-purges, and will release air pressure from the fuel tank. A simple, but safe way to prepare your stove for travel.
Flame control for precise cooking is now located at the fuel bottle, keeping your hands away from the stove when making fine adjustments. This also helped to reduce size & weight.
