This small, light solar charger packs more charging power than any of the flimsy plastic chargers you might find on sale for $30. This kit provides 1.44 Watts peak output, enough to charge a set of two high-capacity batteries in one day. Compare this to the less than 0.5 Watt output of the small AA/AAA solar chargers which would take up to 3 days to charge the same high capacity batteries.
NOTE:
If you see a small solar charger specifying that it charges batteries in 4 hours, they are talking low-capacity batteries, with 4 peak-sun hours of daylight (basically all day in the summer).
