The SolarMio is a new solar power solution for small portable electronics. It is a flexible, lightweight, water resistant, & durable solar power kit designed to provide power from ordinary daylight.
The SolarMio 31 is similar to the Solio in its approach to charging your iPod, Pocket PC, PDA, Razr, or Blackberry directly from ordinary daylight. The SolarMio collects power from its 3 folding solar panels and stores it in an incredibly lightweight Li-Po (Lithium Polymer) battery pack.

The removeable Lithium Polymer pack is not much bigger than a pack of gum, & is able to provide power long after the sun goes down. Snap it in or out of the SolarMio's back pouch in order to use it independently from the solar panel.
How is it used?...
The SolarMio provides two ways to connect electronics for additional power & recharging. First there is the USB port, which supports flash mp3 players, and other devices that can charge from a computer's USB port such as Blackberrys, & Razrs. Next, there is the collection of 10 specific cell phone charger tips that fit most of the current models including Motorola, Samsung, Sony-Erickson, Siemens, & Nokia. This includes the new mini Nokia plug, and the mini USB plug.
Lash the SolarMio to your backpack using the integrated stretch cords or corner grommets, and connect your device. Even in partial sun, the SolarMio is able to charge & extend your device's run time. When the sun goes down, the SolarMio will use its battery pack to provide additional power to your devices.
How durable is the Solar Mio?...
The Mio can probably be called the toughest of our small solar chargers. It will easily take a drop from 10' without incident.
And if the sun don't shine...
Use the AC charger cable or the DC car charger cable to charge the SolarMio when there is no sun, or to simply take advantage of the extra power source. Like most solar chargers, you can use your devices even when the SolarMio is charging itself - no need to unplug your device.
