The Watch...
The Timex® Ironman* Triathlon® Bodylink® Performance Monitor watch is the essential element to the Bodylink® System by providing real-time workout data. It teams with the Timex® Digital Heart Rate Sensor and the Timex® Speed + Distance GPS receiver to simultaneously provide comprehensive performance feedback.
The GPS Receiver...
The system is designed with a very sensitive GPS antenna to work in city, forest & other environments where the view of the sky is not perfectly clear - environments where many GPS units will not work properly. It never requires calibration, & is not affected by the ambient terrain, surface, or speed of the wearer. The GPS system determines your altitude & calculates your speed of vertical ascent/descent.
Trail Runner Edition Navigation Extras...
This Trail Runner edition of the popular Body Link system introduces navigation features not found on the standard Body Link model. Timex knows that you may be out in the bush miles from the trailhead, and you may need to know your bearing. The Trail Runner provides latitude & longitude data from the GPS information, along with an actual compass heading. You can also store up to 10 waypoints and ask the watch to help you navigate back to any one of them.
The Optional Data Recorder...
The optional Data Recorder is the ultimate training log for all athletes. The Timex® Data Recorder collects precise information from your watch, and logs it for analysis with the trainer software at home on your computer. Heart rate, speed, distance, pace, and a whole lot more. Train like a pro.
The Midsize Edition...
The midsize edition provides all the same functionality as the standard model, with the exception of lat/long data display, and waypoint logging. Its a smaller watch for the smaller athlete who wants the benefits of a GPS-based training system.
