Sierra Woodburning Pack Stove
No more hazardous fuel to pack
by ZZ Manufacturing (111A, 111B, 111C)
What is the point of having a tiny lightweight pack stove if you still have to carry bulky propane canisters or messy fuel bottles? The Sierra woodburning zip stove frees hikers & campers from this chore.
Burning almost any solid fuel including wood, twigs, bark, pine cones and charcoal, the Sierra zip stove uses a forced ventilation system to create intense heat and efficient burning. Much like a blacksmith's forge.
Lightweight and Easy To Use...
The stove weighs less than half a kilogram (16oz), and is made from only a few parts, making set-up and clean-up a snap. The main burning chamber connects to a pedestal which houses a small fan. Fuel is placed in the chamber and ignited. When turned on, the fan circulates air through the chamber, creating a much hotter fire for faster cooking and efficient fuel use. The fan doesn't need to run for the Sierra to be used as a simple enclosed camp fire too.
No more fuel to pack...
Lighten your load by eliminating the need to pack expensive & hazardous gas or camp fuel. The Sierra lets you use whatever material you find on the trail including twigs, pinecones, bark, and other fallen wood material. The fan uses a single small AA battery which can easily be replaced by the small solar panel featured in our Solar Department.
Accessories Galore...
Modern Outpost carries a wide range of Sierra Stove accessories to make your stove complete. Choose from a stovetop grill, windscreen, spark arrestor screen, or nylon carry sack. See the order form below for pricing, and the list at the bottom of this page.
Who's buying?...
The Sierra stove is ideal for backpackers, distance bikers, back country horsemen and other campers looking for an extremely lightweight, dependable and powerful stove. The Sierra is an excellent choice for Boy Scouts, providing a safe and simple way to learn the skills of campfire cooking.
Top Magazine Reviews!
The Sierra has been recognized by Backpacker Magazine as one of the top eight all-round pack stoves.
