+ Store your solar power
+ Pack back-up power
The battery packs we feature charge easily from solar, AC at home, DC in the car, and sometimes even USB from your computer.
Which one?
Lightweight people go with Lithium, while base camps needing household AC power choose the Sealed Lead-Acid (SLA).
AC power from Lithium?
Sort of...
Brunton's Solo units are the first lithium packs to contain circuitry that will support a small 60 Watt AC inverter. This is enough to charge a typical laptop computer. Lithium batteries cannot be charged or discharged too quickly, so inverters are best used with SLA batteries that dont care much.
Do I need a battery?
Most solar applications will use one. Mainly so that you store as much power from the sun as possible, but also so that you can operate equipment that needs more power than your panel can put out. A 10 watt solar panel cannot run a 30 watt laptop. Unless there is a battery in between to make up the difference.
