Power storage...

The Outpost Power 26 includes a durable 26 amp-hour sealed lead acid battery with AGM construction for reliable service in a broad range of temperatures & long life - longer than gel cell batteries. This type of battery will lose very little power during times of storage & transport. It has enough guts to drive a small AC inverter like the recommended Smart AC 150 Dual. Plus you now have the ability to charge the unit from your vehicle outlet on your way to the trailhead.

As non-spillable, sealed batteries, the kits are not regulated for air travel, so take your OP-26 kit with you overseas. MSDS information is available upon request.

DC Outlet option...

The Outpost Power 26 is available with a standard DC CLA outlet socket (like in your car), plus charging cable for charging from your vehicle outlet or solar panel. An AC wall charger is not provided.

Flexible charging options...

When driving to the trailhead, you can top-up the battery charge by plugging the Outpost Power kit into the cigarette socket in your vehicle (optional for the CLA pack). If you plan to be away from any charging source for several days, take along one of our compact folding solar panels (60 Watt) to help offset your power usage.
We recommend selecting the solar charge controller option if you plan to connect to a solar panel of more than 10 Watts for any length of time.
