We went looking for a new kind of camp lantern. Something that was more affordable, yet provided the brightness & versatility our customers expect. We found it in the Illuminator.

The Illuminator LED lantern not only provides several brightness settings, and its own dynamo for recharging it anywhere, but it also offers a USB port for charging it from things like personal solar chargers & USB solar panels. Something the Freeplay ML-1 can't do. The Illuminator also has a handy caribiner clip for attaching it to tent roofs, trees, etc.

Yeah, but is it any good?

Yes it is. It is solidly built, bright, and always ready to go. It is also much lighter than the Freeplay Indigo & ML-1 lanterns, with very similar performance.
