When your personal electronics are running on empty, and you're miles (or at least blocks) from the nearest charger, and you don't want to drop this call, what do you do?
Fire up your Solio for e
ndless thermonuclear power from the sun for iPhones, iPods, Blackberries, & more.

Charge your iPhone, iPod, Blackberry, Razr, Treo, GameBoy, or virtually any other small electronics, with the endless power of the sun. Even ordinary daylight will provide charge to your device.

How does the Solio know what voltage & power your device needs? It starts at the bottom with 4V, and works its way up until an appropriate level of charge starts flowing to your device, then it holds that voltage until your device is full. Then it turns off. No overcharging, no undercharging... just right. Just smart in our opinion.

NOTE: This is the "A" model, which comes complete with several adaptor tips (see below), and also provides for expansion options not available on the "I" model.

Compact portable power

The Solio Classic fits in the palm of your hand, and generates energy from sunlight through its solar panel blades & stores it within its integrated Lithium battery. Mobile devices including iPod, cell phones & PDAs can be charged at the same rate as their individual wall chargers thanks to Solio's intelligent internal circuitry. A huge selection of adaptor tips are available to connect to your devices... see below.

No sun? No problem!

The Solio Classic is called a 'Universal Hybrid Charger' for the simple reason that it gives you portable power in a variety of ways. If there is no sun, the on board battery does the job. When the sun is unavailable, charge your Solio using the included wall adaptor, so even if there is not enough sun, the Solio will play the part of a back-up battery.

Solio FAQ...

Can I use my iPod, phone, or PDA while connected to the Solio?

Yes. The Solio acts just like a reserve battery. When it is connected, it will power your device & charge the battery at the same time. If there is daylight, the Solio will use the power from the sun to provide power & charge your battery at the same time.

Do I need a sunny day to use the Solio?

No. The Solio will charge as long as there is daylight, with the rate dependant on the intensity of the light. It will produce the most power in direct, bright sunlight. Even at night, the Solio comes in very handy as a back-up battery for your device.

More than just a good idea...

Over its lifetime, Solio will ideally produce more energy than was used in its construction.

Solio Charger Crib Sheet...

Phones, PDAs, & Smart Phones:
Use the specific adaptor tip for your phone make/model. The Solio comes with a set, and offers many more as options. You can also simply plug your phone's car adaptor into the Solio's 12V socket accessory (optional).

iPods & mp3 Players:
Connect your iPod or other mp3 player to the Solio using the Solio's USB port. (A dedicated iPod connector is also available for the later, fussier iPod models).

Digital Cameras:
Many digital cameras can be powered directly from the Solio using the Solio's USB port or Mini-USB adaptor tip. Note that cameras do not 'charge' from USB ports, but many will operate while connected.
You can also charge 3.7V camera batteries using a DC car charger for your camera's battery & the Solio 12V socket.

GPS:
Use your GPS' 12V car adaptor to plug into the Solio's 12V socket accessory (optional). Note that the Solio will only operate GPS units that require less than 3W of power.
The Solio can also power many GPS units via its USB port.

AA/AAA Battery Charging:
We've tried the Solio with DC-input & USB battery chargers, and can recommend the Mini USB Charger. Other models require more than the maximum power output of the Solio unfortunately.

Other Devices:
The Solio offers GameBoy & PSP connectors. It is not able to support devices above 3W, and so cannot power laptop computers.
