Under sunlight, the Solar ePower II converts daylight into electricity and stores it in its onboard lithium storage battery. At any time, simply plug your iPod or other USB device into one of the USB ports to get power from the sun directly charging your device. When the sun is not shining, the on board battery provides the power to your device. All USB ports are full regulated to USB standards to ensure proper charging of your device, just like it was plugged into a computer.
Apart from the dual USB ports, the Solar ePower II offers an output jack with adjustable voltage settings: 4.5v, 5.4v, 6.4v, 9v. This gives you further utility to charge other devices.
4 common phone adaptor tips are included too:
Nokia (standard large round)
Samsung (SCH, SGH)
Blackberry/Motorola (KRZR, L2, L6, PEBL, Q, RAZR, SLVR, V2)
LG (AX, LX, VX, Chocolate, enV, Shine, Venus, Voyager)
Realistic time to fully charge the internal battery of the Solar ePower is 2 days (May-September) of sun exposure.
Battery power storage is 7.4 Watt-Hours, which is enough to charge a typical iPod about 3 times.
An AC power adaptor is also included, so you can charge the Solar ePower at home before heading out. After all, it makes a great back-up battery for your phone or iPod.
