The WoodGas Campstove XL is a larger cooking stove, optimized for longer cooking times and higher heat. One load of twigs will typically burn for 20 minutes, while producing 12,000 btu/hr of cooking heat.
The WoodGas XL measures 9" tall and 6.5" in diameter, and weighs 35 oz. The campstove XL is the perfect size for cooking complex meals or meals for small groups. As in other WoodGas products, fuel can be added during cooking for longer burn times. Compressed wood pellets also work very well, burning for 3 times the burn time of twigs.
Dual Stage Combustion
WoodGas burning systems effectively burn the fuel twice.
In the first stage, combustion air is driven into the fuel to create some smoke (or wood-gas). This occurs in the gasification zone of the diagram.
In the second stage, more combustion air is driven into the chamber to burn the gas from the first stage. This occurs in the combustion zone of the diagram. The electric fan provides the combustion air in just the right amounts to produce the gas and burn it completely.
Benefits
High Efficiency - very little wood produces lots of heat.
Low Smoke - " Campfire Smell " almost completely eliminated.
Hot flame - high temperature heat.

Q&A...
Do WoodGas stoves get hot?
WoodGas products get very hot and can burn you if you touch them while burning or before they have cooled down. The outer shell will heat to 200 deg F which will burn. Always use the product handles when moving or handling a hot WoodGas product.
Do WoodGas Products produce Carbon Monoxide?
WoodGas products do produce carbon monoxide (though much less than a campfire) and should only be used outside. Do not use WoodGas products in an enclosed area, such as a tent, camper or in a house.
Do WoodGas products produce an open flame?
WoodGas products produce an open flame and may start other fires. When starting, a small amount of flying ash may be produced. Always use the WoodGas products in a manner appropriate for other fires.
Do WoodGas products produce hot coals?
After burning for a period of time, charcoal will be produced as a byproduct. If the product is switched off before all of the charcoal is consumed, the charcoal remains a fire hazard. Dispose of the charcoal in a safe place where it can't start a fire, or wait until it cools to a safe temperature.
