Boulder 200 Connectivity…

Chainable: Anderson Combiner Cable required
Connect to the larger Yeti battery packs using the Anderson input port on either the face of your Yeti, or via the MPPT charge optimization module.
Want to use the Boulder 200 with other battery systems? All you need is an Anderson Power Pole cable that terminates in bare wires that you can then connect to your charge controller. We can build this cable for you.

The Boulder 200 Briefcase has no chaining input. It can be chained into other Boulders with chaining inputs; however, to chain multiple Boulder 200s together you will need an Anderson Combiner Cable. This allows you to plug chained Boulder Solar Panels into a Yeti 1250 or Yeti 1400 Lithium.

The Boulder 200 Briefcase does not plug directly into the Yeti 150 or Yeti 400. You will need to purchase an Anderson Power Pole to 8mm Adapter Cable. You should not plug combined Boulder 200s into either of these units.

IMPORTANT WIRING NOTE:
Each Boulder 200 solar panel can output up to 11A @ 18V (200W), therefore be sure that your downstream wiring can handle the current over the distance between your panel & your battery pack.
For example, according to wire loss calculations, the Boulder 200 will require #10 AWG gauge wire in order to keep voltage drop (power loss) to less than 4.4% over 30-feet.
If you combine Boulder 200’s at the panel location, then the #10AWG will provide less than 4.4% loss over 15-feet.

Need to be able to position the solar panel in a sunny location further away from your Yeti battery pack? Consider using an Anderson 15′ Extension Cable.
The new 30′ High Power Anderson extension cable from Goal Zero (part# 98105) is #14 gauge, and will result in over 10% voltage drop & power loss over 30′ when the panel is at maximum output. This cable is therefore only recommended for the Boulder 100 and smaller.

We commonly recommend & use Ancor marine cable for such applications.
