Using Your PWRbox 20 With Solar

The PWRbox 20 comes with a wall charger so you can charge it up from any wall outlet in your home, or a generator.
But how do you plug a solar panel into it?
Easy!
The LFP battery in the PWRbox requires a solar charge controller designed for Lithium, and the maximum recommended input to the battery is 60W (between 4 & 5A @ 14.6V).
Here are your leading options for solar panels & charge controllers...

Now, it will become clear to you when reviewing these options, that connector formats differ between solar panels, charge controllers, and ultimately they need to plug into the PWRbox's Anderson APP15/30/45 port.
Don't worry!
We have all the connectors and extension wire you might need, and we do this type of consulting work every day.
Either send us a note via EMAIL ⁸ with your desired system notes, or place an order for the panel and controller you like, and include some notes as to how you need it to come together. Use a offline payment method so you don't pay now. We will consult with you, and then will assemble the parts you need.

Customizing the output ports

Would you prefer a different set of ports than those featured on the PWRbox? We can do that for you! Choose the 'Customize My PWRbox' option when you place your order, and we will review your needs and the various options available.

A Quick Word About Airlines...

The maximum lithium battery capacity you can carry-on a flight is 100Wh, so at 240Wh, the PWRbox MINI 20 will require special handling. Consult with your airline.

If you'd like to reduce the battery capacity to less than 100Wh so you can carry the battery on a flight, let us know. We have several battery sizes from the same original Lithium LiFePO4 manufacturer (Bioenno) that can fit the PWRbox case. Choose the 'Customize My PWRbox' option when you place your order, and we will review your needs and the various options available.
