The Victron SmartSolar MPPT 100/15 Solar Charge Controller is part of Victron's advanced line of controllers. Using the latest, fastest technology, SmartSolar controllers maximize this energy-harvest, driving it intelligently to achieve full charge in the shortest possible time. SmartSolar maintains battery health, extending its life.

With processing power of 220W on a 12V battery platform, or 440W on a 24V platform, this controller is a great fit for cabins, van conversions, RVs, and boats. The 100V input range provides the latitude you want to string your solar modules as needed for your project, even in cold Canadian winters when solar module voltage rise can destroy ordinary controllers.

Ultra-fast Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT)
By constantly monitoring the voltage and current output of your solar (PV) panels, MPPT technology ensures that every drop of available power is rinsed out of your panels, and harvested for storage. The advantage of this is most noticeable when the sky is partially clouded, and light intensity is constantly changing

Remote Monitoring and Control

Remotely control and monitor the extensive features of your SmartSolar MPPT charger with built-in bluetooth by pairing it with your smartphone or other device via VictronConnect. If your installation is connected to the internet Victron Remote Management Portal (VRM 1) provides access to the full power of your MPPT, anytime, anywhere; both services are free to use. For remote installations - even when there is no internet connection or phone signal nearby - you may be able to monitor your MPPT by bluetooth-pairing with a LoRaWAN(long-range wide area network) device, available optionally.

Load output

The intelligent Load output function prevents damage caused by running batteries 'flat'. You can configure the voltage at which SmartSolar disconnects a load - thereby preventing excessive drain on your batteries. And here's the clever bit: SmartSolar will attempt a 100% recharge every day. If it can't - during periods of poor weather - it raises the disconnect voltage, daily, until it achieves success. We call this feature BatteryLife because it maintains the health, and extends the life of your battery.

Monitor Your System via BlueTooth App on your phone... no internet required
Through the VictronConnect app, your SmartSolar MPPT controller provides comprehensive information regarding the performance of your solar system.
    • Status (Live Data): Displays real-time metrics including:
        • Solar Panel Output: Power (Watts), Voltage, and Current (Amps).
        • Battery: Voltage, charging current, and the current charging state (e.g., Bulk, Absorption, or Float).
        • Yield & Loads: Total energy (kWh) produced today and, if applicable, the current flowing to the DC load output.

    • History: Provides a deep dive into your system's performance, usually storing up to 30 days of data:
        • Daily Yield: Total power harvested per day.
        • Maximums: The maximum photovoltaic power (PMAX) and maximum panel voltage reached.
        • Battery Data: Minimum and maximum daily battery voltages.
        • Errors: Any error codes or warnings triggered during the charging cycle.

    • Trends: Offers a graphical, historical view of your system. Stored trends record data every 30 minutes for approximately 46 days.

Everyday Use of the App
