Intelligent charge algorithm
Get the most out of your solar panels while protecting your batteries with adaptive charging. The MPPT solar charge controller automatically switches between bulk, absorption, and float stages, with intelligent algorithms tailored to your battery type.

Synchronise to behave as one
Multiple Victron MPPTs can coordinate, using Bluetooth or a GX communication centre connected to the VE.Can port. This allows them to switch through charge stages simultaneously, extending battery life and ensuring peak system efficiency.

Works with most battery types
Compatible with lithium, AGM, gel, and flooded batteries, the MPPT solar charge controller offers automatic voltage selection and a dedicated charging profile for each battery type. It can even revive fully discharged batteries.

Built-in extras
Models 150/70 to 250/100 offer extra built-in features. These include relay and on/off terminals for automated load management and remote operation, and an optional plug-in display (sold separately) for viewing essential device information. MC4 models come with MC4 connectors for quick, secure solar panel connections.

VE.Direct port
The VE.Direct port connects to a communication centre for access to VRM, Victron's remote management portal. Configure settings, check system data, analyse performance, and actively manage your system from anywhere in the world.

SmartSolar pluggable LCD display
Simply remove the rubber seal that protects the plug on the front of the controller, and plug-in the display.

Optional external battery voltage and temperature sensing via Bluetooth
A Smart Battery Sense or a BMV-712 Smart Battery Monitor can be used to communicate battery voltage and temperature to one or more SmartSolar Charge Controllers.

Monitor Your System via BlueTooth App on your phone... no internet required
Through the VictronConnect app, your SmartSolar MPPT controller provides comprehensive information regarding the performance of your solar system.
    • Status (Live Data): Displays real-time metrics including:
        • Solar Panel Output: Power (Watts), Voltage, and Current (Amps).
        • Battery: Voltage, charging current, and the current charging state (e.g., Bulk, Absorption, or Float).
        • Yield & Loads: Total energy (kWh) produced today and, if applicable, the current flowing to the DC load output.

    • History: Provides a deep dive into your system's performance, usually storing up to 30 days of data:
        • Daily Yield: Total power harvested per day.
        • Maximums: The maximum photovoltaic power (PMAX) and maximum panel voltage reached.
        • Battery Data: Minimum and maximum daily battery voltages.
        • Errors: Any error codes or warnings triggered during the charging cycle.

    • Trends: Offers a graphical, historical view of your system. Stored trends record data every 30 minutes for approximately 46 days.
