Replacement For The Replacement
Bad news for 2021… Goal Zero is no longer supplying this Yeti 1250 replacement battery.
But, don’t despair! We have another model that fits the Yeti 1250 case, and provides the same performance. Best of all, it’s from a company that’s one of the leading battery manufacturers that we spec for other solar applications.

Want to bring your Yeti 1250 up-to-date?
Consider replacing that worn-out lead-acid battery with a lithium battery instead.
That’s right, instead of 600Wh of useable storage, 500+ cycle-life, and a gimpy hip lugging your Yeti 1250 around, you can have over 1,100Wh of storage, 4,000+ cycle-life, and half the weight.
A few Lithium Iron Phosphate drop-in replacements to consider…
Discover : DLB-G24-12V (with built-in Bluetooth battery monitor!)
RELiON : RB100
Go Power Sun Cycle : GP-LiFePO4-100
CanBat : CLI100-12
CanBat : CLI100-12LT (heated model for low temperature operation)
Notes regarding Lithium replacement…
Your Yeti 1250’s charging system and display monitor were designed for use with lead-acid AGM. So although these will work with drop-in LiFePO4 batteries, there will be some quirks.
1. The top-end of the charging cycle will be slow.
AGM charging setpoints are a bit lower than those used on Lithium, so charging the lithium will be slow once the battery reaches approx 75% full. Not a problem for the battery. Just slow to completely fill it up.
2. The monitor will lie to you
Again, because the native voltage of a Lithium battery is higher than AGM, the Yeti 1250 display might say it is at 80% full when it is actually at 20% full. An easy reference to make.
