54-Half-Cut Cells
This new format results in lower module voltage. This in turn means higher-output long-series module strings in ground mount systems.

More Power into a 150V MPPT controller
A lower module voltage (less than 40V Voc) allows 3 modules to be wired in series without exceeding the input limits on common 150V charge controllers (remember that module output voltage rises from what your spec sheet says for every degree below 25C!). That means more power per string with this JA Solar module than you will be able to achieve with only two of a higher-power, higher-voltage module.

11-BusBar PERC Cells
