The RT-1 Powerpole insertion & extraction tool is designed for extracting inserted contacts from Powerpole housings. Reuse your housings! It also helps insert contacts into the housing by applying pressure directly on the contact. “U” shape tool tip. Works with Anderson 15, 30, 45 amp Powerpole connectors.

How To Insert or Remove Anderson Contacts

For removal, slide one end of the “U” shape tool between the flat contact tip and the housing spring. Twist or lift the contact up off the spring, and pull the contact by the wire back out the rear of the housing.

For insertion, rest the “U” shape tip around the wire putting pressure on the back barrel of the contact. This helps you put extra pressure directly on the contact for insertion.
